We’re a small team with big talent and big ideas. Based in Washington, DC and led by creative director Sam Serebin, Green Rhino Design began as a one-person design studio in 2002 as I AM Design. Today, our team consists of a diverse group of dedicated professionals with expertise in website design, print design, coding, information architecture, copy writing, photography and illustration, search engine optimization, digital strategy, video, network security and information technology. Our client list is as diverse as we are, ranging from major publishing companies and world-renown nonprofits, to universities and local government.
ABOUT SAM SEREBIN
Sam is an award-winning creative director with nearly 20 years of experience as a professional designer. He began his career working for Time Inc. at Money magazine and LIFE magazine, and was hired by National Geographic to design an adventure and lifestyle magazine prototype. Ten years ago he started his own design studio, to do what he loves best — working with clients to develop and deliver successful design solutions they and he can be proud of. Green Rhino Design’s clients never feel as if they are “just another client,” as Sam takes a hands-on approach with each project and truly values the relationships he builds.
This kind of positive feedback is what we strive for and consistently receive:
While good designs are clearly the most important criteria for a successful designer, it’s always a bonus when the working relationship is as congenial as ours is with Sam. Consultations are a pleasure – Sam is great at bouncing ideas around and has often helped us crystalize our objectives when we started with only a vague sense of what was needed. Sam works quickly and responds to feedback with good humor. He’s not afraid to push a point when he feels we’re making a poor decision, but his collaborative style and professionalism have meant that we’re rarely out of kilter. – Kathlene Collins, Publisher, Inside Higher Ed
A New York native and Washington, DC resident for almost a decade, Sam’s other creative passions include carpentry, cooking, gardening, and designing, baking and decorating elaborate birthday cakes for his two daughters. (The cakes taste as good as they look!)
